Terms of Trading

Armagh Carpets and armaghcarpets.com are operated by T&S Dalzell, trading as Dalzells of Markethill.

These Terms & Conditions govern the use of this website and the supply of products by Armagh Carpets. By using this website, requesting a quote or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.

We reserve the right to amend these Terms & Conditions from time to time. Any changes will be published on this page and will take effect immediately upon posting. We recommend that you review these Terms & Conditions periodically to ensure you remain informed of any updates.

As a customer of Armagh Carpets and armaghcarpets.com, your contract for the supply of goods will be with T&S Dalzell T/A Dalzells of Markethill.

Quotes & Pricing

All quotes provided by Armagh Carpets are free and without obligation.

Prices are based on the information available at the time of quotation and may be subject to change due to supplier pricing, availability or specification changes. We will always endeavour to provide accurate and up to date pricing.

Products displayed on our website may not always show a price. If a price is unavailable, simply submit a quote request and we will provide our latest price and availability.

Product Information

We make every effort to ensure that product descriptions, specifications and images are accurate.

Please note that colours and textures may vary slightly from those displayed on computer monitors, mobile devices and printed materials. Lighting conditions and manufacturing variations can also affect appearance.

Where possible, we recommend viewing samples before placing an order.

Measurements

Customers are responsible for ensuring that all measurements supplied to Armagh Carpets are accurate.

Armagh Carpets does not provide a measuring service and cannot be held responsible for issues arising from incorrect measurements provided by customers or third parties.

If you are unsure about measurements, we recommend seeking professional advice before ordering.

Orders

Orders are subject to product availability and acceptance.

Once an order has been confirmed with our suppliers, changes or cancellations may not always be possible.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order where a product is unavailable, incorrectly priced or where circumstances beyond our control prevent fulfilment.

Delivery

Free delivery may be available on selected products and within selected areas. Delivery details will be confirmed at the time of order.

Delivery dates provided are estimates and, while we will always do our best to meet them, delays can occasionally occur due to supplier, courier or other circumstances beyond our control.

Customers are responsible for ensuring suitable access for delivery.

The delivery arrangements for your carpet will be confirmed when your order is placed. Where fitting has been arranged through us, carpets may be delivered on the day of installation or, where necessary, in advance of the fitting date.

For larger orders or products supplied on multiple rolls, delivery may be carried out separately to ensure safe transportation and handling.

If fitting is not included, we will discuss a suitable delivery location with you. Due to the size and weight of carpet rolls, delivery is typically made to a ground floor room, garage, hallway, or other accessible area. The final delivery location will be agreed with you in advance.

Please ensure there is suitable access to the property and sufficient space to accommodate the carpet roll(s). Some carpet products can be heavy and bulky, and our delivery team reserves the right to deliver to the nearest safe and practical location.

We will always endeavour to make delivery as convenient as possible and will discuss any specific requirements with you before delivery takes place.

Third Party Fitters

For customer convenience, Armagh Carpets may recommend independent third party fitters.

These fitters operate independently of Armagh Carpets and any fitting agreement is made directly between the customer and the fitter.

All fitting work is subject to the fitter’s own terms and conditions and Armagh Carpets accepts no responsibility for installation work carried out by third parties.

While every care is taken during installation, some minor marks to painted skirting boards or surrounding areas can occasionally occur. In certain cases, particularly on stairs, slight chipping to paintwork or plaster may happen due to the nature of the fitting process.

Returns & Cancellations

Many flooring products are cut to size or specially ordered and may therefore be classed as bespoke goods.

Unless a product is faulty or supplied incorrectly, returns or cancellations may not be possible once an order has been processed.

If you believe a product is faulty or damaged, please contact us as soon as possible so that we can investigate and assist.

Limitation of Liability

Armagh Carpets shall not be liable for losses arising from:

Incorrect measurements supplied by customers or third parties
Delays caused by suppliers, manufacturers or delivery companies
Variations in colour, texture or appearance between samples and finished products
Work carried out by independent third party fitters

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions affects your statutory rights.

5 star rating all the way. I traveled up from Dublin with my 1 year old. Sharon walked me through all the options and made sure I left with the correct beds for me. I originally was working on the basis a more expensive bed equalled a better bed!! Not the case necessarily once I understood what I needed. Thanks again Sharon for the excellent service.

Travelled from Dublin to view mattresses rather than purchase online. I was met by Kathryn who engaged with us immediately and discussed options and showed us comprehensive range .She advised us on specific options that might suit out needs. We were very satisfied with her level of expertise and she explained delivery and gave a very good deal . Very professional and we went away very happy with the way our requirements were dealt with and would recommend this business to anyone. We certainly will return in the future

From start to finish our quest to find the perfect bed was a straight forward and enjoyable hassle free experience, Because of health issues and mobility problems we needed to change to an electric adjustable bed , staff were on hand to help and advise without being pushy , had lots of time to try different beds in the showroom and ask numerous questions, with our well informed choice made, we were given an estimated delivery time of 3 weeks versus at least 12 weeks from a leading bed store , payment made vat deduction made straight away on production of current up to date blue badge , with leading store we would have had to fill out paper work get Gps signature etc, price was also extremely competitive, 2weeks and 5 days later received a call to say our bed would be delivered on the day requested, another call from delivery driver on the day to let us know they were on the way , 2 lovely gentlemen delivered and set up the bed exactly where we wanted , checked with us that we were happy and electrics etc were working properly (no extra charge) left taking all the plastic rubbish etc with them . Couldnt recommended Dalzelles highly enough thankyou

Won't be back,and wouldn't recommend them.
The prices change at a whim,usually once one has already agreed a price for the items one has ordered.
£1000.00 increase?Must think I came up the Lagan on a giant purple teapot..

Hi Cat, apologies for only responding to this now. From Autumn 2020 through to Autumn 2022 almost every manufacturer was bumping prices by as much as 10-15% a quarter. I'm not sure what you were pricing but for Rangemaster Range Cookers this equated to £300-500 alone depending on the model, a full set of appliances could easily go up by a £1,000 and much more if a quoted price wasn't secured with a deposit. Typically price increases are announced by a manufacturer with a date on which they would take effect, these were instantaneous. Fisher Paykel Appliances rose 45% in a year... It was crap for everyone and this all resulted from the absurd lockdowns and moronic money printing/borrowing of Governments globally. Hope you got sorted out.

Bought all my Kitchen appliances and TV's from Dalzells, cheaper than Currys.....there was a manufacturing fault with two of the drawers in the freezer, which was sorted straight away by staff, can't fault them. Tim has a great knowledge of the TVs, and they actually have the items in stock ready to go!
